St. Kilian's Religious Education Program is organized to demonstrate the  Pastoral Staff's commitment to guiding young people on their faith journey and providing them with a catechesis based on sacred scripture, tradition, liturgy, teaching and the life of the Church.

All families must register in the Parish Rectory prior to enrolling in St. Kilian Religious Education Program.  Please contact the Rectory at (516) 249-0127.

Children in first through seventh grades attend one hour classes each week.   Instruction, prayer and service experiences are presented to students, as well as opportunities to share their faith with their families, sponsors and parish.

Registration Forms are available in the Religious Education Office.
Children entering Grade One: Please include a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate.
Children transferring from another Religious Education Program: please include a Letter of Transfer with a copy of child’s Baptismal Certificate.

HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THE CATECHETICAL MINISTRY?

More than one hundred volunteer catechesis are needed to staff this program.
If you have a willingness to share your faith with children, the ability to interact with children in a respectful, nurturing, and age-appropriate way, then we ask that you be open to this opportunity to respond to God’s calling to this ministry and to give it serious thought and prayer.

We will provide in-service training, support, encouragement, a written curriculum and all materials necessary for lesson preparation.

SUBSTITUTE CATECHISTS AND HALL MONITORS NEEDED.
